Late Dick Pinkham remembered as 'always fair on every side of every deal'

Longtime sports marketer Richard “Dick” Pinkham Jr. died last weekend. The former ABC, CBS, 21 Sports & Entertainment, IMG and ISC exec was 79.

21 Sports founder Rob Prazmark called Pinkham "my consigliere," noting he was there from the firm’s founding in 1991. "Every organization needs a guy like Dick Pinkham," Prazmark said. "He was such a good negotiator and dealmaker, because he could put almost anyone at ease. He was a rock-solid guy who was always fair on every side of every deal. I owe him a lot."

Pinkham, a lifelong resident of Rye, N.Y., is survived by Anne, his wife of 54 years; three children: Laurie, Ricky, and Mary; a brother, David; two sisters, Penny Janeway Betty Anderson; along with nine grandchildren.
