Amazon’s Prime Video introduced the broadcast talent for its first season of "Monday Night Hockey," a package of weekly NHL games that will stream exclusively in Canada . The group includes ESPN analyst Mark Messier (as a contributor), Kraken play-by-play voice John Forslund , NHL Network host Adnan Virk , CBC Sports host Andi Petrillo , Islanders analyst Thomas Hickey , Blue Jackets analyst Jody Shelley , Golden Knights analyst Shane Hnidy and ESPN analyst Blake Bolden .
The "Monday Night Hockey" package on Prime Video is the result of a two-year agreement between the NHL, Amazon and its national broadcast partner in Canada, Rogers Communications. The package will run for the remainder of the NHL-Rogers deal, which expires after the 2025-26 season. Prime Video will also produce and stream NHL Coast to Coast, a weekly whip-around show hosted by Petrillo, on Thursday nights in Canada throughout the regular season beginning Oct. 10.
Prime Video is also slated to stream the NHL's new behind-the-scenes docuseries , “Faceoff: Inside the NHL,” for subscribers in all territories. The series, which debuts Oct. 4, is a production of Box to Box Films, the studio behind “Formula 1: Drive to Survive,” and NHL Productions.
