Google introduced Android XR to developers last week , its first operating system built for extended reality and with its Gemini AI assistant embedded. Android XR was created in collaboration with partners Samsung and Qualcomm, and the first headset to support the new OS is from Samsung with the code name Project Moohan , expected to be available in 2025. In addition to fully immersive headsets, Android XR is being developed to work with AR glasses.
