Boston NWSL team unveils name and logo

Bos Nation FC

Boston’s long awaited all-women-led NWSL franchise has revealed its identity. The team will be called BOS Nation Football Club and will kick off in 2026.

The club has forged a partnership with the city of Boston to play at White Stadium, only the second women’s pro soccer-specific stadium in the world and the first all-electric stadium in North America.

BOS Nation F.C. is comprised of core ownership leaders like controlling owner  Jennifer Epstein , the daughter of Celtics co-owner  Robert Epstein . She’s joined by managing owners,  Stephanie ConnaughtonAnna Palmer  and  Ami Kuan Danoff

They’re also the masterminds behind the club’s ownership group, Boston Unity Soccer Partners. Last September, the ownership group had to  pay a $53M expansion fee to the NWSL

Boston Unity Soccer Partners  named Excel Sports Management as its partnership agency  Oct. 8, with plans to have the N.Y.-based agency sell critical assets like jersey patches and secure naming rights deals.

Other notable investors in the club include actress and producer Elizabeth Banks and former Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman

The team was awarded its expansion bid in September 2023 and will be the 15th NWSL franchise. The league is still looking to add a 16th team, potentially in regions such as Cincinnati, Cleveland, Minneapolis or others.

BOS Nation F.C. rises from the ashes of Boston’s former NWSL club, the Boston Breakers, which dissolved 11 years after its founding in 2018.

A cryptic website titled "TooManyBalls.com” helped unveil the team’s identity, including its green and black color scheme, along with a promotional video featuring Boston sports legends  Tom Brady , Jaylen Brown , David Ortiz  and David Pastrnak .

The club will also be hosting a fan celebration at Dick’s House of Sport in Boston to celebrate the unveiling today.
