LIV Golf’s Sunday round at Mayakoba saw more people watch the league “than ever before,” according to Sean Zak of GOLF. Sunday’s final round averaged 432,000 viewers on The CW, their highest total ever and “nearly three times” what LIV pulled on Saturday afternoon --168,000 -- when it was “actually in a true viewership competition” with the PGA Tour. The third round of Saturday's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on CBS drew 1.931 million viewers, approximately 11 times more than LIV’s Saturday round. The news comes during a time where LIV had stopped reporting its viewership because “growth had plateaued.” Zak noted this past Sunday, LIV “didn’t have to battle against professional football” and Saturday’s round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was “re-broadcast on Sunday on CBS.” Zak noted that replay earned more than 1.2 million viewers on Sunday ( GOLF, 2/6 ).
