Connecticut Sun President Jennifer Rizzotti said relocating the team out of the state and Mohegan Sun Arena was "not part of the reason for playing" at TD Garden tonight. Rizzotti said the Mohegan Tribe is "supportive of us doing this, knowing that that could be the conversation." But Rizzotti also "recognizes that the franchise risks falling behind the rest of the league off the court." The Sun currently divide practice time between their arena and the Mohegan Tribe’s community center in Uncasville, where the team "occasionally has to split gym space with a workout class or a pickup game." Rizzotti is "confident that increased investment -- a practice facility specifically -- is coming for the Sun sooner rather than later." Rizzotti: “It’s 100% in the near future" ( HARTFORD COURANT, 8/20 ).
