NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” today debuted its new iteration, airing live from league’s L.A. studio after leaving N.Y. earlier this year . Famed boxing announcer Michael Buffer began the broadcast with the tongue-in-cheek intent to “reintroduce the undisputed greatest football show in the history of the world” then individually called out each of the show’s co-hosts: Peter Schrager, Kyle Brandt, Jamie Erdahl and Akbar Gbajabiamila. Buffer concluded the intro with a spin on his trademark, saying, “Let’s get ready for football!” ( "Good Morning Football," NFL Network, 7/29 ).
NEW STUDIO, SAME FEEL : DEADLINE’s Armando Tinoco wrote the "clubhouse vibe” from the "GMFB" studio in N.Y. has been “upgraded to a massive studio with lights and TV screens everywhere.” Brandt has been “rehearsing with his GMFB co-hosts” ahead of their relaunch and noted the “special connection he has already started with new co-host Akbar Gbajabiamila.” Amid the changes, Brandt said that he “never considered leaving GMFB,” noting he has been with the show since its inception and is “really proud of it” ( DEADLINE, 7/26 ).
