Gatorade Canada has signed Blackhawks C Connor Bedard to its stable of endorsers, joining Penguins C Sidney Crosby, Maple Leafs Assistant GM Hayley Wickenheiser, PWHL Montreal F Marie-Philip Poulin, Canadian sprinter Andre DeGrasse , tennis player Leylah Fernandez, Paralympic swimmer Aurélie Rivard and WNBA L.A. Sparks G Kia Nurse. Bedard also has deals with Upper Deck, lululemon and Hyundai Canada, and also was the leader in NHL jersey sales . Bedard is repped by Newport Sports Management.
Gatorade Canada's signing of Bedard follows a major hockey marketing push by Coca-Cola's BodyArmor sports drink brand following its entry into the Canadian retail market. BodyArmor signed Oilers C Connor McDavid to an endorsement deal earlier this year and subsequently became the official sports drink partner of the NHL .
