Pro Football HOFer Richard Seymour "is on the brink of becoming an owner" of the Raiders alongside former teammate Tom Brady , according to sources. Seymour will "join forces with Brady," sources said, and "together (and with their own partners) they would own 10.4 percent of the team." The combination of Seymour and Brady is "expected to resolve most of the concerns" about Brady's ownership bid . The combined Seymour-Brady bid "would ideally be presented to ownership in October," where 24 votes are required to approve the transaction. Raiders owner Mark Davis "initiated the effort to involve Seymour in ownership." If/when it becomes official, the arrangement "will be the culmination of an effort that dates back to 2020," with Davis "continuing his father’s commitment to equality" ( PRO FOOTBALL TALK, 7/9 ).
