Texans show off new road uniforms after social media leak

The Texans' new uniforms for the 2024 season are "set to be unveiled in April," but the team yesterday on social media "dropped what will be their new road uniforms," according to Jeff Kerr of CBSSPORTS.com. The uniform unveil was "actually leaked on Reddit on Monday morning and was making the rounds on the Texans page” when Texans CEO & Chair Cal McNair “actually acknowledged the leak on Reddit and created a post of his own with the road uniform.” The helmet “appears to look the same,” but the blue used in the uniform is actually the "deep shade blue" Houston used in its inaugural uniforms back in 2002. The new uniforms mark the “first significant change to the uniform since the franchise's inception in 2002” ( CBSSPORTS.com, 3/18 ). In Houston, Jonathan Alexander noted “three more jerseys have yet to be revealed.” The new jersey combinations have been “in the works for more than a year” and the team “sought input from the fan base and players on their new design” ( HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 3/18 ).
